2025 Program Schedule
We have ADDED more meetings in 2025, including one via ZOOM. But as usual, our regular in-person meetings will be held at the Art Barn Building on the John Brown University (JBU) campus in Siloam Springs, AR. These regular meetings (underlined below) begin at 9:30 AM; arrive a little early if possible, so you can visit, get some coffee and enjoy a snack.

MARCH 8: Main Program - Our own Charles Peer, PSA, IAPS/EP will do a demonstration titled “Night & Light” and will stay for an afternoon “mini” workshop opportunity ($10 fee). The Bonus Program will be a Members “Show + Tell”. Plus Myron Williams will be at the meeting selling his pastel supplies (information attached). The MARCH NEWSLETTER has all of the details!!!

MAY 10: Main Program - Jude Tolar - PSA, IAPS/MC from Oklahoma will be giving a floral still life demonstration and then will stay for the afternoon and offer a “mini” workshop opportunity ($10 fee.). Further details will follow soon!!! The Bonus Program will be a panel presentation/critique of select paintings that were recently accepted into the juried IAPS Spring Webshow, both Open and Master Circle Divisions. www.judetolar.com

JULY 12: Main Program - Caprise Cooper, PSA Associate from APS will be giving a demonstration titled “Rust”. The Bonus Program after Caprise finishes will be Members sharing their Challenge painting with a theme of “Summer”. www.caprisecooperart.com

AUGUST WORKSHOP: OPS is hosting a 3-day workshop with Diane Fechenbach, PSA, IAPS/MC, DP-PSWC from Colorado on August 7-9. Make plans to attend her “Mastering Shadows” workshop at JBU...it will be a good one! Details to follow!!! www.lightnshadowstudio.comm

AUGUST EXTRA: When it is often too hot to do anything outside, we are tentatively planning an outing to Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville to discuss paintings in depth. We may arrange to have lunch together while we are at the museum. Date and time to be announced later!!!

SEPTEMBER 13: Main Program - A “Tips & Tricks” Panel Presentation by 4 or 5 OPS members. The Bonus Program will be Randall Kronblad showing us the steps required to “attend/watch” the upcoming October ZOOM Meeting.

October 11: ZOOM MEETING (On-line ONLY) with live Abstract & Landscape demos by Debora Stewart PSA-MP, IAPS/MC. If you plan to “watch” this Zoom meeting be sure to attend the previous Sept. 13th Regular Meeting and learn about “ZOOMING”. www.deborastewart.com

DECEMBER 6: Main Program - Greg Stone, PSA, IAPS/MC from Oklahoma Pastel Society will be giving a landscape demonstration with an emphasis on “rocks”. The Bonus Program after Greg finishes will be Members sharing their Challenge painting with a theme of “Winter”. We will also have our traditional Holiday Luncheon for all! NOTE: After the meeting concludes there will be a short presentation for those planning to attend IAPS 2026 Convention with tips on finding lodging, registering for classes, etc. www.gregstonefineart.com
